Bruce Greenwood joins the cast of James Vanderbilt’s TRUTH. Based on a true story, the drama centers on the fallout that occurred during the 2004 Presidential election when Dan Rather reported that George W. Bush had purposefully avoided combat in the Vietnam War. Robert Redford will star as Rather, while Cate Blanchett has ben cast as his producer, Mary Mapes. Greenwood will play Andrew Heyward, the president of CBS News and the man who eventually fires Mapes. Dennis Quaid, Elisabeth Moss, John Benjamin Hickey, and Topher Grace round out the cast.
Greenwood’s most recent roles include playing Pike in Star Trek Into Darkness, playing Charlie Anderson in Flight, and Hugh Butterfield in Endless Love. His upcoming projects include Gabriele Muccino’s drama Fathers and Daughters with Aaron Paul, Russell Crowe, and Diane Kruger, as well as Nic Mathieu’s action flick Spectral, where he stars alongside Emily Mortimer and James Badge Dale.
