Will Gluck’s remake of the 2011 Norwegian action comedy JACKPOT is eyeing Bryan Cranston and Mila Kunis to star. The movie centers on a man who is taken by surprise when he wakes up in a strip club with a gun in his hand, surrounded by dead bodies, and policemen ready to take him in.
The original film was directed by Magnus Martens and was based on a story by Jo Nesbo. Jennifer Garner is also eyeing a role in the remake which is being written by Dave Callaham. Gluck will serve as producer under his Olive Bridge banner alongside Stuart Ford from IM Global. Marty Katz will handles sales at Cannes.
Cranston can be seen next as Lyndon B. Johnson in the upcoming HBO movie, All the Way opposite Anthony Mackie. He also can be seen with James Franco in the upcoming comedy Why Him? and the crime drama The Infiltrator with John Leguizamo and Diane Kruger. He is repped by UTA.
Kunis’s most recent film credits include the Wachowski siblings’ sci-fi action flick Jupiter Ascending and the R-rated stop-motion animated feature Hell and Back. She can be seen next in the comedy Bad Moms with Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn. She is repped by CAA.
