— Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) January 23, 2015
Bryan Singer took to Twitter to announce the addition of three young new mutants to X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Alexandra Shipp will play Storm, Sophie Turner will be Jean Grey, and Tye Sheridan has boarded the project as Cyclops. The newbies join new and returning cast members to the series, including Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman, Oscar Isaac, and Jennifer Lawrence. Singer is directing the latest X-Men flick from Simon Kinberg’s script.
Shipp is featured in Universal Picture’s Straight Outta Compton, the biopic about the rise of the rap group NWA as they emerged from the streets of Compton, California in the mid-1980s. She is repped by Osbrink Talent Agency and Elevate Entertainment.
Turner currently stars on HBO’s massive hit Game of Thrones as Sansa Stark. GoT returns for its fifth season in April. She also stars in the action comedy Barely Legal with Hailee Steinfeld and Jessica Alba. She is repped by CAA and Independent Talent Group in the UK.
Sheridan will next be seen in The Stanford Prison Experiment, about the disastrous psychological experiment undertaken in 1971 in which students played the role of a prisoner or a prison guard conducted at Stanford University. He is also starring in Broken Road’s Scouts vs. Zombies, a horror-comedy with Patrick Schwarzenegger. Sheridan is repped by WME and Mosaic.
