C.J. Valleroy has landed a small role in Angelina Jolie’s UNBROKEN. He joins a cast comprised of Jack O’Connell, Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund, John Magaro, Finn Wittrock, Alex Russell, Jai Courtney and Miyavi.
The film follows the true story of former Olympian Louis Zamperini who crash landed his plane at sea in WWII and drifted in open water for 47 days before being captured by the Japanese Navy. O’Connell is starring as Zamperini, while Valleroy plays a younger version of him.
Scott Cooper adapted the script from Laura Hillenbrand’s book “Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption” with many writers signing on to perform rewrites, Joel and Ethan Coen being the most recent. In addition to helming, Jolie will be producing alongside Matthew Baer, Erwin Stoff, Clayton Townsend and Michael Bostick. Mick Garris is executive producing. Kristin Lowe, Sara Scott, Jeffrey Kirschenbaum and Peter Cramer are overseeing the project for Universal, while Jairo S. Alvarado oversees for 3 Arts Entertainment. Valleroy is best known for his role as Max in the episode “Along Came a Spider” of Nickelodeon’s “Deadtime Stories.”
