The deal keeps getting sweeter for Star Wars fans as Carrie Fisher has confirmed that she will reprise her role as Princess Leia in STAR WARS EPISODE VII.
The latest film, which has its storyline kept under wraps, also has Harrison Ford back in action as Han Solo. This will mark Disney’s first venture into the “Galaxy Far Far Away” with J.J. Abrams set at the helm.
“Star Wars” maestro George Lucas will produce with Simon Kinberg, Lawrence Kasdan, Bryan Burk and Abrams.
Fisher hasn’t been on the big screen since 2009 when she starred in “Fanboys”, “Sorority Row” and “White Lightnin'” but she is slated to appear in the drama “Beached”, which is currently in development.
