Casey Affleck has signed on to star in and produce BOSTON STRONG. Based on the real life events depicted in the book of the same name, the drama centers on the manhunt following the Boston marathon bombings and the apprehension of the two men believed to be responsible. Affleck will produce along with John Ridley and Dorothy Aufiero.
Affleck started off with roles in “Good Will Hunting” and “American Pie 2,” before going on to the “Ocean’s Eleven” franchise. He then starred in indie dramas like “Gone Baby Gone” and “Ain’t Them Bodies Saints.” He also produced and directed the dramedy “I’m Still Here” starring Joaquin Phoenix. Next up, Affleck has been cast in “Interstellar,” “The Finest Hours,” and crime/drama “Triple Nine.”
