A segmented selection of the BASED ON Selections from the IN DEVELOPMENT projects. This hub covers all In Development projects that are based on pre-existing Television series or projects, digital projects such as Youtube series, as well as performance arts and theater projects.

Logline: Set in 1920s Tampa, story centers on a family of cigar rollers, whose lives were changed by the power of the literature in thanks to the imported Cuban tradition of lectors reading to workers.

Logline: Story centers on Fred Mumford, a recently deceased man, who upon realizing he’d done nothing of substance with his life, is determined to be more productive as a corpse, and partners with a couple of ghouls to start a temp agency for the dead – renting out ghosts to the living.

Logline: Story focuses on a brothel in war-torn Congo and the struggles of its madam, to keep the women from getting caught in-between the government and rebel armies.

Logline: Story centers on a group of flawed men and women working inside one of the most corrupt companies in modern time, battling with the urges of greed and ethical loss every day building up to the eventual collapse and financial ruin the company would distill on a personal and professional level all across the world.

Logline: Pitched as “Pitch Perfect” meets “School of Rock,” after their big-break musical flops, two Broadway songwriters decide to take jobs as counselors at the theater camp they attended as kids in order to hatch a plan for a big comeback.

Logline: Set in the 1930s, the story centers on nine African American teens who were wrongly accused of a heinous crime against a white woman, and sentenced to death. But, with the help of several organizations, the case was appealed, and would go on to become one the biggest cases against racism in federal courts to date.

Logline: Story centers around a chance meeting between a young drifter and a disaffected preacher that threatens to disrupt a small Southern town.

Logline: Explores the relationship between a divorced painter and a recovered junkie, severely brain-damaged from a motorcycle accident, who team together in the latter’s recovery.

Logline: Story centers on a single man unable to fully commit to a long-term relationship, let alone the idea of marriage, who journeys to see his five married best friend couples, and his three current girlfriends, to try to understand why.

Logline: Story details a hilarious effort by a group of elderly Orthodox Jews to perform an exorcism to save a girl who may or may not be possessed by a demon.

Logline: Pitched as “Shakespeare in Love” meets “Clueless,” story follows a New Jersey high school teenager who wakes up in mythical 13th century Verona with all the people she knows from her high school life playing characters in “Romeo and Juliet.” She wants to get out because she knows how the play ends.

Logline: When nuclear waste stored on the moon explodes, it sends the moon, and its 311 inhabitants, hurtling uncontrollably through space.

Logline: In an age of apocalypse, in a land without a leader, a dissolute prince finds redemption when he crushes a rebellion that threatens to destroy his father’s kingdom. But upon assuming the throne himself, he immediately engineers a war against a neighboring state to slake his lust for power.

Logline: Two pairs of parents meet to discuss a physical altercation between their sons, but end up fighting and arguing with each other on parenting, misogyny and other loaded topics.

Logline: A black comedy about a greedy Texas family that plots the death of their matriarch for the insurance money, but when they find themselves unable to do the deed, they look to hire “Killer Joe” Cooper, a cop who also happens to be a contract killer on the side.

Logline: A woman is released back into society after a 15-year prison sentence for the murder of two policemen and is stalked by the sons of one of the men she killed.

Logline: Centers on “The Flying Squad” – London’s police unit that was known for being tough roustabouts who liked a drink and some fisticuffs as much as the violent criminals they were famous for taking down.

Logline: As the rest of America celebrates the Fourth of July, two unlikely, interconnected couples cross paths in their search for companionship and transcendence.
