Chad Hodge has been tapped to adapt Alexandra Bracken’s THE DARKEST MINDS for 20th Century Fox. The sci-fi adaptation centers on 16-year-old Ruby, a girl with frightening abilities she can’t control, who breaks out of a government camp for people with super powers and is forced to run for her life toward the only safe haven she knows. Shawn Levy is producing under his 21 Laps banner.
Writer/producer Hodge is actually more well known for his TV projects than for his features. He created the CW series “Runaway” starring Donnie Wahlberg and Dustin Milligan before going on to create NBC’s crime drama “The Playboy Club” and the upcoming drama series “Wayward Pines” for Fox. Hodge also penned the script for biopic “Anita,” which stars Uma Thurman as former beauty queen and singer Anita Bryant.
Hodge is repped by WME.
