Chadwick Boseman has joined the cast of GODS OF EGYPT alongside Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Geoffrey Rush, Gerard Butler, Brenton Thwaites and Courtney Eaton. The story follows a thief (Thwaites) and a God (Coster-Waldau) on a magical quest. There’s no official word on what character Boseman will play.
Alex Proyas will direct from a script he cowrote with Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Proyas will also produce with Basil Iwanyk and Viruna St. John, who will co-produce.
Boseman last starred in “42” and will next star in “Get On Up.” He’ll also appear in the upcoming sports drama “Draft Day.”
He is repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency.
