Channing Tatum is circling a major role in Quentin Tarantino’s THE HATEFUL EIGHT. The western is set in post-Civil War America, where a group of stagecoach passengers – two bounty hunters, a Confederate general, an Englishman, a Frenchman and a female prisoner – are stranded in a blizzard and take refuge at Minnie’s Haberdashery. If he does star in the film, Tatum would join Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Kurt Russell, and Tim Roth in the project.
Tatum has been branching out lately, taking roles in The Lego Movie, the indie thriller Foxcatcher, and the animated comedy The Book of Life. He also recently reprised his role as Jenko in 22 Jump Street. His upcoming projects are just as varied – after starring in the action fantasy Jupiter Ascending and reprising his role in Magic Mike XXL, Tatum is set to star in the Coen’s Hail, Caesar! and Gambit, a Marvel spin-off.
