Charlie Carver has been cast in MICHAEL, a drama starring James Franco. The Gus Van Sant executive produced project centers on a gay man who is taunted so much it drives him to the brink of insanity, and he becomes an anti-gay Christian pastor in response. Both Emma Roberts and Zachary Quinto have been cast as Franco’s love interests, one present, one past. Carver will play Tyler, a man who gets involved with Franco and Quinto’s characters but is heartbroken when he is rejected.
Carver is known for his roles on the small screen in “Desperate Housewives” and “Teen Wolf,” playing Porter Scavo and Ethan, respectively. He also plays Scott Frost on HBO’s freshman drama “The Leftovers.”
