Chris Pappas and Kevin Barnett have signed on to pen the script for MAN UP. The CBS Films comedy is based on an idea by actor Zachary Levi, and centers on a video of an embarrassing bachelor party that goes viral, prompting four metrosexual guys to go to a survival camp and learn how to man up. Levi is set to star in the project, which is being produced by Nicky Weinstock with Whitney Thomas executive producing.
Pappas has previously written for Fox comedy “Unhitched,” the short lived comedy starring Craig Bierko and Rashida Jones. Barnett likewise wrote for “Unhitched,” going on to pen the scripts for rom-coms “The Heartbreak Kid” and “Hall Pass.” Pappas and Barnett also teamed up for “One Night Stan,” a rom-com about a commitment phobe who finally falls in love with the girl of his dreams, only to have her beat him at his own game.
