Christian Bale is in talks to star in Sony’s STEVE JOBS. Leonardo DiCaprio was previously in talks to star as the Apple visionary but has since dropped out of the project. Aaron Sorkin is penning the script based on Walter Isaacson’s book with Danny Boyle on board to direct.
Bale’s most recent project was David O. Russell’s American Hustle last year but his upcoming projects include Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings where he’s been cast to play Moses and Terrence Malick’s romantic drama Knight of Cups opposite Natalie Portman and Imogen Poots. Bale’s negotiations with Fox to star in The Deep Blue Goodbye have reportedly cooled but he is attached to star in Andy Serkis’ adaptation Jungle Book: Origins, voicing the role of Bagheera.
Bale is repped by WME.
