Christian Gudegast has been tapped to adapt a script from a GQ article about the international jewel thief network, The Pink Panther Mafia. The specifics of the story have not been revealed, but the Pink Panther Mafia was a network of thieves known for their high risk, high payout heists. In 2008 they performed a 55 second, midday robbery on the Champs Elysee in Paris which netted them 80 million Euros.
Relativity Studios and Conde Nast Entertainment will produce the film that will be based on the article written by Ilan Greenberg. Ryan Kavanaugh and Dawn Ostroff will produce while Tucker Tooley and Jeremy Steckler executive produce. Becky Sanderman is overseeing the film for Relativity.
In the past Gudegast wrote “A Man Apart” but is best known for being hired to write the upcoming sequel to “Olympus Has Fallen,” “London Has Fallen.” He also has “Den Of Thieves” at Relativity as well.
