Christina Chong has been cast in “Star Wars: Episode VII”. While her role is currently unspecified, she stands as interesting addition to the menagerie of talent already attached to the film. A host of actors ranging from seasoned veterans of the original trilogy such as Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher to less obvious, but certainly not less talented actors like Adam Driver and Andy Serkis. Chong also joins franchise newcomers Lupita Nyong’o, Domnhall Gleeson, and Gwendoline Christie in the film.
It’s been a big month for Chong, who was tapped last week to star as the female lead in “Halo: Nightfall,” the film based on the popular “Halo” video game franchise. She also had a recurring role on the recent “24” revival “24: Live Another Day” and on the BBC series “Line of Duty,” and has had guest roles on “Doctor Who” and “Whitechapel.”
Chong is repped by Piers Nimmo Management and Thruline Entertainment.
