Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer have joined the ever-growing writers room for the expanded TRANSFORMERS cinematic universe. Hodson and Beer are up-and-coming talents who have a number of high profile projects on their plates. Hodson is currently writing the reboot of The Fugitive for Warner Bros. She has made the Black List with her scripts three different times, most recently in 2014 for the sci-fi film Eden Project, which Sony bought for Material Pictures. Beer has written a screenplay for the Short Circuit remake for the Weinstein Company and has sold the live-action family comedy Dig to Disney. She is also scripting a The Wizard of Oz reboot for Warner Bros.
Back in March, it was announced that Oscar winning writer Akiva Goldsman was chosen by Paramount to organize a writers room to focus on reworking the Transformers franchise. Goldsman will oversee meetings with Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg and Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Inspired by the success of the Marvel cinematic universe, the studio is interested in spin-off films that would expand the Transformers world. Hodson and Beer will join Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Iron Man writers Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, Ready Player One‘s Zak Penn and Amazing Spiderman 2‘s Jeff Pinkner on the new team.
