Actors Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who) and Paula Malcomson (Ray Donovan) are set to star in a new BBC family drama called COME HOME, working with BAFTA and International Emmy winner Danny Brocklehurst (Clocking Off).
The drama is set in North Ireland where one family is struggling with the decision of mother Marie (Malcomson) to set the reset button on her life, much to the chagrin of her husband Greg (Eccleston) and their three children.
Produced by RED Production Company for BBC One, Come Home is the first network drama commission announced since the partnership agreement between BBC and Northern Ireland Screen was renewed earlier this year. It will be distributed by Studio Canal TV.
A veteran British actor who even played Doctor Who for a season, Eccleston is currently filming the BBC program The A-Word. Malcomson played the mother to Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss in the Hunger Games movies and just finished We Have Always Lived in the Castle, directed by Stacie Passon.
Eccleston is repped by Independent Talent Group and Principal Entertainment LA, while Malcomson is with UTA and Troika. Brocklehurst is also with UTA and Thruline Entertainment.
