On Monday, Georgia Film Critics Association released its 2015 awards nominees ahead of Friday, January 8th, when the winners will be announced. The association was created in 2011 with the intention to promote criticism and the film industry within in the state of Georgia. With so many awards and nominees announcements being released last month, many highlighted the same films repeatedly. Georgia definitely featured familiar titles while also placing more emphasis on popular films such as Creed and Star Wars: The Force Awakens receiving multiple nominations, including a Breakthrough Award nomination for star Daisy Ridley.
