TB-SXSW Article Header Image FilmStill-29 After nine days, 143 feature-length films and 114 shorts, the Film Festival has finally come to a close. The indie-driven destination showcased 89 world premieres, 12 North American premieres and eight U.S. premieres — and among those films, 52 were helmed by first-time filmmakers. That being said, the fest announced the Audience Award winners. Last year’s winners included Josh Lawson’s The Little Death and Michael Showalter’s Hello, My Name Is Doris. The Audience Awards follow the announcement of the SXSW 2016 Grand Jury Awards which included The Arbalest for Narrative Feature and TOWER for Documentary feature. Below is the complete list of this year’s winners.
