Corin Hardy is set to direct THE CROW. The Relativity Studios remake previously had F. Javier Gutiérrez attached to direct, who will now serve as an executive producer. The film has been in development for several years, with numerous directors attached and actors up for the lead role. The film is a remake of the 1994 picture of the same name starring the late actor Brandon Lee as a murdered man who returns to the world of the living for revenge. Hardy will direct a script from Jesse Wigetow, who is the fourth writer to take a crack at the project.
Hardy has had a rather recent move to directing feature films, with his first feature The Hallow due to be released in 2015. In the past, he’s gained critical acclaim for directing music videos for the likes of Biffy Clyro, Ed Sheeran, Paolo Nutini, Keane and The Prodigy. He also received acclaim for his short Butterfly. Up next, He’ll direct the horror-thriller Refuge based on a story of his own creation, with Jason Blum producing.
