Paramount is leading an extensive search for up-and-coming talent to lead the YA romance, which centers new student Miles’ relationship with his mysterious boarding school classmate Alaska Young. Other actresses in contention include model Imogen Waterhouse, sister of Insurgent star Suki Waterhouse, and Anya Taylor-Joy, who recently starred in supernatural horror flick The Witch.
Actors being considered for the role of Miles include Disney Channel star Mitchell Hope and Charlie Rowe, who was in the running to play Spider-Man in Sony’s reboot, a role which ultimately went to Tom Holland.
Australian actress Eaton memorably played one of Immortan Joe’s wives in Mad Max: Fury Road and can next be seen in historical fantasy Gods of Egypt. Peltz starred in Transformers: Age of Extinction as Mark Walhberg’s daughter and is set to appear in the next two installments in the franchise.
Looking For Alaska is written by Scott Neustader and Michael H. Weber, who also penned previous Green adaptations The Fault In Our Stars and Paper Towns. Rebecca Thomas is set to direct.
