Director Craig Gillespie (“Lars And The Real Girl” and the upcoming “Fright Night”) is the latest director to sign on to the upcoming Lionsgate adaptation PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES. The project, which has been a bit of a directing revolving door, not just in names, but in firm attachments (David O. Russell and Mike White both recently exited) is still eyeing a start date for late this year. Gillespie leapfrogs a long list of potential directors, including Jonathan Demme, Matt Reeves, Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Neil Marshall, Mike Newell and David Slade.
Look for the Seth Grahame-Smith book to hit the big screen sometime in 2012.
Gillespie is repped by UTA and Rumble Media.
