Craig T. Nelson Is Back To School For The Return of “Coach”

The popular sitcom Coach has been revived by NBC for a 13 episode season. The network sent the series straight to order.

The show previously aired for nine seasons on ABC, ending in 1997.

The new season will pick up eighteen years later, with Coach Fox as a retired gym teacher that is called back when his son, who coaches for an Ivy League school, needs his help as an assistant coach.

The continuation of the sitcom follows in the footsteps of popular 90’s shows The X-Files and Twin Peaks, which are also being continued after being off air for an extended period of time. See our article on the new X-Files season here.
