The film, which also stars Diane Lane and Elizabeth Banks, follows two teenage girls who after being sent home early from a birthday party discover an unattended baby in a carriage, and after failing to care for it, the baby ends up dead, and the girls are put away for seven years. It’s only when they are released that what appears to be the truth about their stories begins to reveal itself, but it is clouded by the fact that suddenly, other children have begun to disappear. Fanning and Macdonald will play the teens with Lane playing one of the mothers and Banks playing a police officer leading the investigation.

Fanning starred in the “Twilight” films “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn – Part Two” and will next star in the drama pics “Very Good Girls” and “The Motel Life”. She is repped by WME.
Macdonald stars in Zal Batmanglij’s thriller “The East”, which debuted at Sundance this year.
