Dakota Fanning and Theo James have joined the cast of FRANNY (or FRANNIE depending on who you ask) opposite Richard Gere. The story follows a self-indulgent philanthropist (Gere) who charms his way into the lives of a newlywed couple to recreate the life he once had. Fanning and James will play the couple, specifically Olivia and Luke respectively.
Andrew Renzi will make his feature directorial debut from his own script. Producing will be Thomas B. Fore, Jason Michael Berman and Jay Schuminsky.
Fanning has successfully navigated the troubled waters of childhood stardom and managed to become a functioning (and still acting) adult. She was last in “Night Moves” and will soon appear in “Effie Gray.” James most recently appeared in the now cancelled “Golden Boy” for CBS and on the feature side he was last seen in “The Domino Effect.”
Fanning and James are repped by WME.
