The project centers on the final years of famed Australian movie star Errol Flynn’s life before he died of a heart attack at age 50. Of particular note during this time was his courting and eventual relationship with Beverly Aadland, who was seventeen years old at the time of his death. Fanning will play Beverly with Susan Sarandon playing her mother Florence, who supported the relationship. Kevin Kline will play Flynn.
Christine Vachon, Pam Koffler and Maggie Malina will produce.
After bursting into Hollywood with early roles in “I Am Sam”, “Man on Fire” and “War of the Worlds”, Fanning has recentlys tarred in the supporting role of Jane in the “New Moon”, “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn- Part 2” installments of “Twilight”. Her film “Very Good Girls” is currently premiering at Sundance.
