British star Daniel Kaluuya is set to co-lead Denis Villeneuve’s SICARIO. The action drama centers on a female police officer and two rangers who trek into Mexico to capture a dangerous drug lord. Kaluuya joins Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, and Benicio Del Toro for the project. He will play Reggie Wayne, an FBI agent who gets partnered with Blunt’s character.
Kaluuya is best known for his role as Posh on the original British version of “Skins.” Since then, he’s gone on to roles in “Johnny English Reborn” with Rowan Atkinson and action/comedy “Kick-Ass 2” where he played Black Death.
Kaluuya is repped by ICM and Troika.
