Paramount Network fills out the cast of the drama YELLOWSTONE with Brothers and Sisters alum Dave Annable and Hell or High Water‘s Gil Birmingham. Wendy Moniz will also recur in the first original scripted series from Paramount Network.
The series stars Kevin Costner as John Dutton, head of the Dutton family, who owns the largest ranch in the United States. The Dutton family will have to deal with constant attacks from land developers, Indian reservations, and America’s first National Park. Audiences will see a corrupt world, where politicians are in the pockets of oil and lumber companies.
The project from Oscar nominee Tayler Sheridan received a straight-to-series order earlier this year, making it the first original scripted series to get the greenlight from Paramount Network.
Annable will play Dutton’s oldest son Lee, a cowhand who serves as his father’s right-hand man. Birmingham has been cast as Thomas Rainwater, the Chief of an Indian tribe challenging the Dutton’s.
UTA and manager Sue Leibman/Barking Dog Entertainment represent Annable. Birmingham is repped by Amsel, Eisenstadt, Frazier & Hinojosa. Moniz is repped by Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management and Don Buchwald & Associates. Yellowstone begins production in August with the premiere on Paramount Network in 2018.
