David Gordon Green is set to helm OUR BRAND IS CRISIS, a Warner Bros. project based on the 2005 documentary of the same name. Sandra Bullock has signed on to star in the drama, which centers on a political consultant who goes to South America to help with the local election and realizes how corrupt it really is and that she might be helping the wrong people. Bullock will executive produce the project with her “Gravity” co-star George Clooney producing with Grant Heslov under their Smokehouse Pictures banner.
Green is the writer/director known for helming “Pineapple Express,” indie drama “All the Real Girls,” and 2013’s “Joe” starring Nicolas Cage. Green’s upcoming projects include comedy “Mr. Machine,” which he co-wrote with Danny McBride, and “Manglehorn,” a film starring Al Pacino and Chris Messina which Green is directing.
