“Frasier” star David Hyde Pierce will be coming back to the small screen after more than a decade away for a recurring role on THE GOOD WIFE. Now in its sixth season, the drama series stars Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick, a wife and mother whose husband’s sex scandal tears her ordered world apart, forcing her to go back to her first passion – the law. Pierce will play a cable news legal correspondent who decides to run for office after he realizes there are no good candidates.
Pierce became a household name in the 90s, playing the uptight Niles on “Frasier” opposite Kelsey Grammer, winning four Emmys for his performance. Since then, he has had minor roles on “The Simpsons,” as well as in films like “Hellboy” and “The Perfect Host.” You may also remember him from “Sleepless in Seattle,” where he played Meg Ryan’s brother, and “Wet Hot American Summer,” in the role of Henry Newman.
Pierce is repped by WME.
