Based on Ally Condie’s novel of the same name, The film is set in a future society where people are told what to read, what to watch, what to believe and who to love and the story centers on a young woman who rejects an arranged romance and chooses her own path. Slade will be directing from a script by Kieran and Michelle Mulroney.
Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot will produce.
Slade’s past film work includes indie pic “Hard Candy”, “30 Days Of Night” and “Twilight: Eclipse”. He also directed the “Open House” episode of “Breaking Bad” and is currently in development on two films, “Coward” and “Villain”. He is repped by WME.
