David Yates, helmer of the last four Harry Potter movies, will sit in the director’s chair for TARZAN for Warner Bros. Story is based on the classic character “Tarzan” created by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Story was originally set to take place in the modern world, but new details are kept under wraps, and no doubt being re-written (again).
Producing will be Alan Riche, Tony Ludwig and Jerry Weintraub.
Yates is also currently attached to direct “Cicero”.
He is repped by CAA.
