In an industry where execs lose interest in material, projects and people in a matter of days, I need to give lots of love to Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall for sticking with the Sci-fi epic SNOW CRASH since originally optioning the Neal Stephenson novel back in 1995. Writers, directors, studios and producers have all come and gone on the project in the 15 years since, but the duo never lost hope in what they believed (and we here at TB absolutely agree with) could be a truly amazing film. And now comes even more amazing news…
Paramount has signed on to get involved. And, with the studio’s involvement, now comes a search for a new writer and director, with previous high profile names like Jeffrey Nachmanoff, John Raffo and Marc Webb rumored to no longer be actively involved.
