Dimension Films is getting another horror title. The studio is optioning the rights to recent LA Horror Competition winner (Best Short & Best Cinematography) POLAROID by Lars Klevberg. Klevberg will direct the feature version of his short, and Benderspink’s Chris Bender, Jake Weiner and Jake Wagner will produce alongside Roy Lee from Vertigo and original short producers Peter Løkke and John Hagen.
The short follows two social media-obsessed girls who find an old Polaroid camera and decide to take a selfie. Unfortunately, the camera is haunted with the ghost of one of the girl’s dead mother. The film has a Paranormal Activity meets The Ring feel to it, and offers genuine scares.
Klevberg is repped by Benderspink. Take a look at the winning short below.
