Not to be confused with the upcoming Pathe! film starring Domhnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie (sometimes called Goodbye Christopher Robin), Disney’s new Winnie the Pooh film CHRISTOPHER ROBIN has found its director in Marc Forster. Alex Ross Perry is penning the script, with Brigham Taylor producing, having last produced one of Disney’s latest big hits, The Jungle Book.
In the vein of Steven Spielberg’s Hook, this new live-action film sees a grown-up Christopher Robin now as a businessman who prioritizes work over his family. When things start getting out of control, Pooh Bear arrives seeking help to find his friends, the other inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Woods. Suddenly Robin needs to fix both aspects of his life or risk losing the things he holds most dear.
Kristin Burr is set to oversee from Disney.
Forster has had a prolific directing career prior to this, helming titles from Finding Neverland to Stranger than Fiction to The Kite Runner and the James Bond flick Quantum of Solace. Most recently he directed 2013’s World War Z as well as the Amazon series Hand of God.
He’s repped by WME and Management 360.
