Dominic Cooper is now playing SBS Operative John Stratton after Henry Cavill left the picture just before production started. Stratton is based on Duncan Falconer’s book series and follows the titular John Stratton, a British Special Boat Service commando tasked with fighting international terrorists in Northern Ireland.
Austen Stowell is still playing Stratton’s US liaison, Lt. Hank Monroe, and Simon West is directing the picture, which starts shooting next week in Italy. Cavill had initially chosen this picture to launch his production shingle, Promethean.
Cooper is repped by CAA and Alex Irwin.
