The upcoming big screen adaptation of THE FLASH is about to have a Dope reunion.
Actress Kiersey Clemons has been put on the top of director Rick Famuyiwa’s list for the female lead in the DC comic book flick. The two worked together on last year’s critically acclaimed dramedy Dope.
Clemons would join Ezra Miller who is set to play the titular speedy superhero. Miller first appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will also star in the forthcoming Justice League. No word yet on who Clemons’s role, but there is speculation that she would play the tenacious journalist Iris West, friend to The Flash’s alter ego Barry Allen.
Famuyiwa replaced Seth Grahame-Smith, who dropped out as director over creative differences. The movie will still use Grahame-Smith’s draft of the script which was based on a treatment by The Lego Movie‘s Chris Miller and Phil Lord.
Clemons recently starred in the comedy sequel Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising opposite Seth Rogen and Chloe Moretz. She can be seen next in the comedy Little Bitches and is attached to star in the remake of the ’90s thriller Flatliners with Ellen Page.
