“Dope” Star Kiersey Clemons Joins “Flatliners” Remake

is set to join the remake of ’90s thriller FLATLINERS.

Clemons is set to play a medical student who is struggling with her workload and her home life with her demanding mother. The cast also includes , , and .

will direct the script written by . and will serve as producers.

The original film was directed by Joel Schumacher and starred Julia Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, William Baldwin and Oliver Platt. It followed a group of med students who run experiments which test the boundaries of life and death on themselves. As a result, they open the door to tragedies from their past and begin to face consequences that begin to haunt their lives.

Clemons made her feature film debut in Rick Famuyiwa’s Dope. She can be seen next in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising with Zac Efron, Seth Rogen, and Chloe Grace Moretz. She also stars in the forthcoming indie teen comedy Little Bitches.
