Douglas Smith is the latest to sign on to the drama, MISS SLOANE. He is set to play as a young lobbyist who joins a coalition in order to pass important legislation in regards to gun control.
Smith’s role is said to be key to the film which boasts an A-list including Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, John Lithgow, Sam Waterston, Alison Pill and Jake Lacy. John Madden is set to direct the script by Jonathan Perera.
The film follows a top lobbyist in Washington D.C. as she pushes for tighter gun control laws. By doing so, she mentors the younger generation in her office, with Douglas being one of them.
The FilmNation feature will be produced by Ben Browning with Patrick Chu as executive producer.
Smith was recently seen in Terminator Genisys and Ouija. He can be seen next in the lead in the thriller The Bye Bye Man.
He is repped by Paradigm and Gary Goddard Agency.
