Drew Barrymore joins Toni Collette and Dominic Cooper in MISS YOU ALREADY. The dramedy follows Collette and Barrymore as a pair of lifelong best friends whose relationship is torn to bits when one becomes pregnant and the other extremely sick. Cooper and Paddy Considine will play their husbands, while Jacqueline Bisset will play Collette’s mother. Catherine Hardwicke will direct from a script by Morwenna Banks. Barrymore is replacing Rachel Weisz in the film.
Barrymore’s most recent acting credits in Ken Kwapis’ “Big Miracle” and her most recent rom-com “Blended” have left critics and audiences underwhelmed. Barrymore has also been trying her hand lately at producing with the horror flicks “Happy Camp” and “Animal.” Next up, Barrymore will go back behind the camera to direct drama “Surrender Dorothy” and produce rom-com “How to Be Single” starring Lily Collins and Alison Brie, as well as R.J. Cutler’s rom-com “The Au Pairs.”
Barrymore is repped by CAA.
