Dylan Sellers Teams With MGM To Remake “Black Ice”

MGM has acquired the rights to finance and distribute a remake of the Finnish film BLACK ICE with and his producing.

The Finnish version, released in 2007, won great critical acclaim as well as six , the Finnish equivalent of an Oscar. The film, directed by , is a complex thriller that explores a love triangle between a woman, her husband and the husband’s mistress.

Sellers had been interested in acquiring the rights for years but was not able to convince Kotwica to give them up until partnering with MGM SVP . The deal just closed and the project will go out as an open writing/directing assignment.

Sellers is currently producing When The Bough Breaks starring  with and . He recently spent three years as head of production at where he oversaw such films as St. Vincent and Southpaw.
