Four stars have been recruited for Clint Eastwood’s AMERICAN SNIPER, “Homeland’s” Navid Negahban, “Nashville’s” Eric Close, Rey Gallegos from “Gang Related” and Eric Ladin from “Boardwalk Empire.”
Based on the book “American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in US Military History” by Chris Kyle, Scott McEwen and Jim DeFelice, it’s the true story of Kyle who holds the military record for most confirmed sniper kills at 150.
Negahban will play a local Iraqi who wants to help the SEALs find their target, Gallegos has been cast as Tony, the head of the SEAL team and Ladin will play a Californian surfer-turned-SEAL. There’s no word yet on who Close’s character might be. The foursome join Bradley Cooper who will star as marksman Chris Kyle and Sienna Miller who plays his wife.
Close is repped by Gersh and Untitled Entertainment, Ladin is set up at Innovative Artists and Main Title Entertainment, Rey is at GVA and Jeff Goldberg Management, Negahban is with House of Representatives.
