Ed Westwick and Dominic Sherwood have joined the cast of TAKE DOWN, a story about a group of privileged international teens fighting back when their remote boarding school is besieged by armed kidnappers. They join Jeremy Sumpter and Phoebe Tonkin who have already signed on to the project.
Jim Gillespie will be directing from a script by Alexander Ignon. “Take Down” is being produced by Sarah Ryan Black and Ed Elbert. Steve Christian and Stefan Brunner are also on the project as exec producers.
Westwick is best known for his roll on “Gossip Girl” and will be seen in the upcoming “Kitchen Sink” and “A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island.” Sherwood was in this year’s “Vampire Academy” with only a few minor TV appearances before that. This project sounds like it could be fun, but all I really know is that Gillespie has a past in horror. Hopefully that will translate well to the action/thriller genre.
