Casting news can come from a variety of sources, but few are as easy to digest as when an actor posts about his family visiting him or her “at work” on set, and in this case, it was prolific British thespian Eddie Marsan who tweeted a picture of his kids with Ryan Reynolds on the set of Deadpool 2.

Of course, the actor with a recurring role on Showtime’s Ray Donovan didn’t say anything about who he was playing or how big a role he has in Deadpool 2, but he just appeared in director David Leitch’s previous film Atomic Blonde, starring Charlize Theron, which has currently grossed $73.9 million worldwide.
To know Eddie Marsan’s work is to be a fan of his vast diversity of roles, from working with Mike Leigh on Vera Drake and Happy-Go-Lucky to his string of period pieces that range from Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York to Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes and its sequel to the upcoming gothic thriller The Limehouse Golem plus countless others. Marsan got to play a more modern-day role as part of the ensemble cast of Edgar Wright’s The World’s End in 2013, and he has a role in the upcoming Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House, which will premiere in the Sept. festival season.
Marsan is with UTA and Markham, Froggatt and Irwin.
