The duo are joining a cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, frequent collaborator Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Casey Affleck and Mackenzie Foy. Like the other actors attached, there’s no word on what the newcomers’ roles will be.
Nolan will produce with Lynda Obst and Emma Thomas.
Burstyn, who won the Oscar for her role in “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” (and most recently was nominated for her terrifying turn in “Requiem for a Dream”) will next be seen in the sports comedy “Draft Day” after last appearing in “Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You”. She is repped by Innovative Artists.
Last year, “3rd Rock from the Sun” star Lithgow appeared in the comedies “The Campaign” and “This is 40” and will next appear in the drama “The Homesman”.
Young thesp Chalamet has starred in “Homeland” and “Royal Pains” and is in production on the drama “Burning Blue”. He and Lithgow are repped by WME.
