Eloise Mumford has joined the cast of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY alongside Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Ehle, Jamie Dornan, Luke Grimes and Victor Rasuk. The story follows innocent Anastasia Steele (Johnson) who becomes sexually involved with wealthy entrepreneur Christian Grey (Dornam), a man with a severe sexual appetite for bondage and sadism. It’s basically Intro To S&M Sex For Dummies: The Movie. I doubt it’ll be willing to go the depths that this “Nymphomaniac” trailer has gone to but we’ll wait and see.
Anyhow Mumford will play Anastasia Steele’s roommate. I can’t tell you if that roommate will be the “You’re throwing your life away with this man” type or the “Let’s cuddle in our underwear because women do this right?” type because I didn’t read the book. I CAN say it’ll be a role she plays in this movie, unless she doesn’t at the last minute.
Mark Bomback is the latest writer to polish the script that Patrick Marber and Kelly Marcel both took a stab at. Sam Taylor-Johnson will direct. Producing will be James Schamus, Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and author EL James.
Mumford is best known for the short-lived shows “The River” and “Lone Star.” She’ll soon appear in “In the Blood” and “Not Safe Work.”
