Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston have been tapped to star in the adaptation of Joe Sharkey‘s book ABOVE SUSPICION. Salt director Phillip Noyce is set to direct the script by Chris Gerolmo.
Based on a true story, Above Suspicion follows a newly married star FBI agent that is assigned to an Appalachian mountain town in Kentucky. During his assignment he gets involved in an affair with a local woman who becomes his top informant. She seems him as a way out of the town, but their relationship turns for the worst. The story became a huge scandal and resulted in the first conviction of an FBI agent for murder.
Colleen Camp is set to produce under Colleen Camp Productions alongside Mohamed AlRafi, Tim Degraye, Angela Amato-Velez, and Amy Adelson.
Clarke can currently be seen in the sixth season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. She also stars in the forthcoming romantic drama, Me Before You opposite Sam Claflin. She is repped by CAA, Emptage Hallett, and Monster Voice.
Huston is best known for his role in Boardwalk Empire. He recently starred in the Coen Brothers’s Hail Caesar! as well as the horror Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. He can be seen later this year in the remake of the action epic Ben-Hur. He is repped by UTA and the Artists Partnership.
