Emma Watson and Miles Teller are in talks to join the contemporary musical LA LA LAND from “Whiplash” writer/director Damien Chazelle. The story follows a jazz musician and an actress who fall in love, but see their relationship put to the test as they both pursue their dreams.
Watson has made quite a name for herself in the indie community post-Potter, starring in teen romantic drama “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” “The Bling Ring,” and Darren Aronofsky’s religious action/drama “Noah.” Her next projects include thriller “Regression,” Stephen Chbosky’s comedy “While We’re Young,” and Guillermo del Toro’s live action remake of “Beauty and the Beast.”
Teller is known for his roles in the rebooted “Footloose,” “Divergent,” where he played Peter and Chazelle’s indie darling “Whiplash.” His upcoming projects are “Insurgent,” the reboot of “Fantastic Four” where he’ll play Mr. Fantastic, and “Two Night Stand,” a rom-com centering on a one night stand that has to be extended after a snowstorm hits.
