Eric Bana and Ice Cube have been extended offers to star in the upcoming Paramount actioner YEAR 12 for director Fredrik Bond. The story, which was a 2009 Black Lister, takes place twelve years after an alien invasion has left humankind decimated and brutally subjugated, and follows a former soldier who must smuggle deadly uranium in his bloodstream and, with help from a pair of rebels, fight his way to an air force base where the uranium can be extracted and used to fuel a nuclear missile for a counterstrike that will reverse the direction of the war.
Bana has been offered the lead role of Tyler Kirkland, while Cube has been offered the role of one of the two rebels – Malik Evans.
