Erin Cressida Wilson has signed on to adapt Paula Hawkin’s debut novel, GIRL ON THE TRAIN. The highly anticipated crime thriller follows a young woman who becomes entangled in a murder investigation after catching a glimpse of a stranger’s life through the windows of her daily commuter train. Dreamworks and Marc Platt preemptively acquired the rights after much buzz surrounded the project.
Wilson previous worked as a writer and associate producer for the 2009 film Chloe, starring Amanda Seyfried, and was a contributing writer on Chan-wook Park’s Stoker. Wilson most recently co-wrote Men, Women And Children alongside Jason Reitman.
